Simpson Falls is part of Mt Coot-Tha Reserve (also known as Mt Coot-Tha Forest). Mt Coot-Tha Reserve is a network of interconnecting trails over 1600 hectares. While the falls may not always be flowing, there will always be something of interest to see.

Starting from the Simpson Falls picnic area, the Simpson Falls track is a well signed, easy walk to the falls. There are plenty of intersecting tracks to access if you wish to extend your walk.

Simpson Falls are best after rain. During a dry spell, Ithaca Creek dries up and the falls can be reduced to a trickle or even stop altogether.
